KeePassXC: Create TOTP Code

To retrieve the TOTP code for a database entry in KeePassXC, follow the instructions below. 

Please note that the TOTP code displayed is valid for a maximum of 30 seconds.

Step by step

  1. Select the database entry.
  2. Right-click on the database entry or click on "Entries" in the menu.
  3. Under "TOTP", select the menu item "Copy TOTP".
    Alternatively, you can alsousethe key combinationCTRL + T.
  4. You now have 30 seconds to insert the TOTP code in a two-factor authentication query(CTRL + V).
