Account Exchange

The University Computer Centre automatically receives user data from the respective human resources departments (University & University Medical Centre) and the Student Secretariat.

Since the University and the University Medical Centre are different employers, these are technically independent personnel records. If you change employers between the University and the University Medical Centre (and vice versa), you will automatically receive a new user account. However, the URZ can transfer your previous account to your new employment relationship.

When transferring your account, it must be possible to clearly identify the person to whom it belongs. To do this, the URZ uses both your full name and date of birth. Since University Medicine does not provide the URZ with the dates of birth of its employees, accounts can only be exchanged between the University and University Medicine under the following conditions:

  1. Log in to the groupware system with your university user account and create a ticket requesting the exchange with your second university user account (created for your work at the University Medical Centre) (specify account name).
  2. Log in to the groupware system with the user account you received for your work at the University Medical Centre and create a ticket requesting the exchange with the university account (specify account name).

Unfortunately, it is not technically possible to exchange accounts between an employee account and a student account.
