Forgotten your password?

If you have forgotten your password, use the electronic password reset via email function in the central account management.

In order to reset your password electronically via email you will need:

• Your URZ user name
• A non-university email address that has been provided in the account management as the email address for resetting your password. This email address is stored on a voluntary basis and the email address is only used by URZ for the electronic password reset procedure.

You can provide an alternative email address in the central account management for resetting your password yourself. However, you must have previously confirmed this email address.

In the central account management open the menu item "My profile" > ‘Reset email’.

Enter a non-university email address that you can access if you have forgotten your password for your central user account.

After clicking the "Set email address" button, you must confirm this email address. You only have 10 minutes to complete this process!

You will receive a signed email [de] at the email address you provided with the subject "[UMS] Confirm your email address for resetting your password". The email contains a confirmation link.

If you have confirmed your email address within the specified time, the text "The email address was confirmed successfully" appears on the page.
