Sieve-Filters
Sieve is a language that enables the filtering of emails on IMAP mail servers. This offers the major advantage that emails are filtered directly on the mail server, and this filtering is not dependent on any particular email client. Whenever you access your mailbox, you will always see the results of this filtering. However, the term ‘filtering’ is quite multifaceted in this context. It includes, amongst other things:
- Sorting emails into folders
- Creating out-of-office messages
- Rejecting or deleting emails
Sieve-Filters in Groupware
The easiest way to configure any Sieve filters is within the groupware. In the email module, right-click on the email account => Properties => Rules.
Rules can be created or edited here either via the menu or in manual edit mode.
