Setup eduroam on an Android Device

On Android devices, access to the eduroam Wi-Fi can be set up via an app. If your Android device operates on version 10 or above, you will need the easyroam app. For older Android versions up to and including version 9, you can use the eduroam CAT app.

If you are already connected with eduroam via your username/password, prior to installing the app, we kindly ask you to delete the profile and remove the eduroam network from your device.
You will need a connection to the internet (e.g. ethernet cable, Wi-Fi UniHGW-Offen or mobile) to setup easyroam.

General note:

If your device with android =>10 does not work with the easyroam app, follow the instructions for android <=9.

Android >= 10

Open the app easyroam.

Log in via browser
Search for and select the University of Greifswald
Install the new profile
Confirm the installation of the profile
Allow access to Wi-Fis
Profile summary

Android <=9

Log in to the following page via a browser on your device: https://easyroam.de .

After logging in, select "Manual options". Select the option EAP-Config and enter a name for the profile.

You will then receive a configuration file to download.

Close the browser and open the eduroamCAT app.

Open the menu via the three dots at the top right
Select the previously downloaded profile file
Enter password for the import file: pkcs12
Install the profile
Confirm the installation of the profile
Click on install once again
Click on install one last time
