Conference Access

The University Computer Centre can provide you with conference access to the University’s Wi-Fi for conferences and events. In contrast to eduroam access, conference access is granted for a limited period of time with “conventional password access” to the Wi-Fi network tagung.

Conference access is only available in the University of Greifswald’s buildings – not University Medicine Greifswald!

If you require conference access in one of University Medicine’s buildings, please contact the members of staff responsible for IT at University Medicine Greifswald: umg-it-netzmed.uni-greifswaldde

In order to use the conference access, please follow these steps:

  • Create a ticket in Groupware’s ticketing system, demanding conference access.
  • This ticket must include the following information:
    • which conference requires conference access
    • required timeframe for conference access
    • link to the conference or event website

We will then send you the Wi-Fi password for your conference/event. The password can then be communicated to all conference/event participants.
